My first restaurant review is going to be of one of my favorite places in Delhi to hang out at.
Location
'Faisal's Kebab Lounge' is a little known eatery, nicely tucked away in a recently opened mall in Jasola Vihar, South Delhi, called the Living Style Mall.
Food
It boasts an Indo-Pakistani cuisine, serving dishes like 'Chicken Tikka Lahore', 'Karachi Qorma', 'Peshawari Kebab' and 'Biryani from the Border'; I'm guessing by which they mean Kashmiri Biryani. If there's such a thing as Kashmiri Biryani.
I've tried a couple of dishes there. For instance, the 'Chapali Kebab' and the 'Lucknowi Kebab'. They might not be as good as the real thing, but let me assure you, they don't let you down. A hundred bucks for a morsel of three Kebabs might be slightly expensive in comparison to what you would get at a road side stall, but believe me, they're worth the money.
Reason to fame
Besides the food, what makes the place really special is the privilege of getting to smoke Sheesha. They carry a long list of Sheesha flavors. To name a few--Raspberry, Melon, Lime, Pan Masala, and my all time favorite, Apple. A single round of Sheesha will cost you a reasonable 125 smakarooz.Decor
As far as the interior decor goes, it's pretty decent. It's air conditioned and really clean. At times it seems a bit cramped, but once you're seated and relaxed, it feels alright.
However, there is one major drawback with the place. Their choice of furniture. They've got these hard wood seats which make long sittings really uncomfortable. And it's just this one drawback that makes the sheesha experience not as relaxing as it is meant to be.Final Verdict
All in all, the place is highly recommended. It's definitely worth the trip at least once. If not for the food, then surely for the Hookah/Sheesha.
